Yousef ft. Charli Taft – I See (Defected Records)

Ever since we heard the Shadow Child remix of this track we’ve been itching for this release to come out. Yousef, Dubstep label Circus founder, releases his third release for Defected and does so with Charli Taft on the vocals. I See (Original Mix) is a light housey track which is a nice track to chill to. However Shadow Child really makes this really worth picking up by adding a bass which just seems to be missing once reverting back to the original. Crooked Si Man makes it a trio with what should really be a clincher to picking up these three tracks, as he adds bass just like Shadow Child but takes a different direction with the vocal by chopping it up and using it for various build ups.

On the other hand the rendition by The Crooked Man layers various sounds into a complicated brew of wonky and dark elements that exhibits the imaginative creativity of such an experienced and longstanding producer. “
