Mala – Stand Against War/Maintain Thru Madness (DMZ029) (Release)

Summary: Only thing restricting this release getting a higher rating is the non variety of format.. but then again if it had a range of formats we'd probably be complaining that too many people have it!

4.75

MAAALLLLAAAA

Probably the only release in 2012, within the dubstep category that is on par with Coki’s – Dry Cry for me.
These are 2 dubs which have been given the green light after being in Mala’s bag for a few years, and for some reason I thought of Anti War Dub  when I first heard Stand Against War. I’ve rated the release at 4.75, because whilst Stand Against War is going to be a timeless classic, I’m not so sure about Maintain Through Madness. Maybe I’ll re-review the score once I get my hands on a copy, then again, maybe I won’t.

What’s more I’ve been having an inner debate over the decision to restrict this release to vinyl. Whilst I do love Mala’s commitment to vinyl, this does cause a pain in the ass for those of us who want a digital copy, as getting it in Lossless would be lovely. However my inner hipster wants this dub to be my own dirty little secret, amongst the few of us that care enough to get the vinyl and those that follow the DMZ releases like a religion.

Any thoughts? @purplearti or comment below.
